Leonid Klinichev’s «A Gypsy» or the New triumph of romantic opera

The article is devoted to Rostov composer Leonid Pavlovich Klinichev’s opera «A Gipsy» based on Anatoly Kalinin’s novel of the same name. The features of romantic opera in its plot as well as in its dramaturgy and the interpretation of images are revealed in the course of the detailed musicological analysis.
