Serenade: from the Middle Ages to Modern Age
The author concentrates her attention on the history of serenade genre. The place of this genre in Middle Ages culture as the genre if courtly creative work as well as in the period of classicism as an element of secular urban culture is considered. Serenade in the creative work of Mozart is analyzed apart. In conclusion the author traces serenade genre in the XIX and the XX centuries.
