The image sphere of Eternity in symphonic finales of foreign composers’s works of the middle of the XX century (by the example of Bartok, Honegger, and Hindemith’s creative work)

The author analyses B.Bartok, AHonegger, and P.Hindemith’s finales of symphonic compositions from the point of view of intonational vocabulary. The theme of Eternity is chosen as the object of the research from three image spheres used in these works (Joy, Tragedy, and Eternity). This theme is realized in different aspects namely immensity, cosmogony, contemplation, and absolute rest. The article is provided with score examples.
