The content motifs of M. O. Steinberg’s creative art in the context of Soviet culture of 1920–1940

The role and the importance of M.Steinberg’s creative art in Russian musical culture is reconsidered in the article as the composer’s heritage in the musical science has been considered from the point of view of socialist realism for a long time while his innovative avant-garde compositions were kept in the background.
