Prisoners of World War I in the Musical Life of Siberia

A number of unpublished material, as well as historical research is used in this paper. The impact of prisoners of war on the musical life of Siberian cities from 1914 to early 1920 was considered. Numerous cases of active social and cultural interaction between foreign prisoners and Siberians were found in the course of work. They enriched the musical life and influenced the ongoing development of musical culture of the region.
