A. Lloyd-Webber’s «Song and Dance» as an «experimental» musical: thirty years later
The article is devoted to comparatively not popular «experimental» musical by A. Lloyd-Webber of 1980s. Characteristic features of art conception of «Song and Dance» as boundary phenomenon interpreting some peculiarities of academic thought of music are in the centre of author’s attention. Subsequent echoes of this «experiment» in Lloyd-Webber’s works and contemporary practice of musical theatre are noted.
