Piano works by R. Schumann in the aspect of performing problems

The article is devoted to the piano works by Robert Schumann – the great German romantic composer. The description of Schumann’s heritage as one of the most important constituents of modern concert and educational piano repertoire is conditioned by the individual features of his artistic world outlook and specificity of creative method, many-side style of piano compositions. Hence the author examines creative-conceptual and technical problems which a contemporary interpreter of music by Schumann is to deal with. The priority peculiarities of Schumann’s music formation and facture account, melodics and harmony, an expressive role of polyphonic devices and rhythmical organization in the performing realization of the piano pieces by Schumann are elucidated.
