Research sphere and interests

Lyudmila Savvina develops the research problem of musical semiotics and the organization of musical material in the music of the twentieth century.

Publications

L. V. Savvina is the author of over 110 publications, including two monographs: “Observations on the Harmony of the Twentieth Century: History and Theory” (Rostov-on-don, 2002) and “Sound Organization of Music of the XX Century as an Object of Semiotics” (Astrakhan, 2009); and also the textbook “Harmony of the Twentieth Century” (Astrakhan, 2008).

Activities

L. V. Savvina is the vice-rector on research work, the head of the Department of Theory and History of Music at the Astrakhan State Conservatory, Professor at the Department of Theory and History of Music, the member of the Union of Composers of Russia.

She regularly conducts national and international academic conferences.
