The Opera «Rinaldo» by G. F. Haendel: to the Problem of Plot formation

This article is devoted to one of the first opera which brought to G. F. Handel the European success — «Rinaldo». Within this work we carry out the following tasks to systematize of the available data which connected with history of creation of the Handel’s opera; to reveal specifics of treatment of the literary primary source in A. Hilla’s scenario and the libretto by Rossi; to define features of a plot formation in a context of theatrical traditions of the end of the XVII — the beginnings of the XVIII centuries.
