Echoes chant and contemporary composers’ creative work

The article deals with the questions of the style of modern spiritual compositions. The author gives the examples of two present opposite tendencies. The first tendency embraces the arrangements of old chants, stylization, strict adherence of canons, the second one embraces the renewal of the style, the introduction of new techniques of composing.
