D. Shostakovich’s First Violin Concerto: to the problem of conception

The author considers D.D.Shostakovich’s First Concerto for violin and orchestra as an innovative example of the genre where symphonism is organically combined with bright concert character of solo part. Such approach to the genre is explained not only by deep philosophic content which is proper to composer’s works, but also by the conception of the composition itself which determines common orientation and equivalence of soloist and orchestra’s missions in the realization of art concept.
