Shostakovich and Mussorgsky: musicological self-reflections
The author deals with the self-analysis of the process of study of Shostakovich and Musssorgsky’s creative work for the purpose of reflecting general process of rejection of stereotypes in Russian music study. The author touches upon the history of composing, premieres and productions as well as dramaturgy of composers’ works and musicological evaluation of their works in different times.
