The notion of music in Philosophy of Irrationalism and its rethinking in modern age

The article reveals the definition of music art phenomenon in A. Schopenhauer and F. Nietzsche’s philosophy. Interesting parallels with Platon and Aristotel’s ideas about music are drawn, common features and differences are displayed. The necessity of rethinking of the processes in contemporary music by philosophy is emphasized.
