This article represents the adapted translation of the extract of Angelique Fulin’s book «Child, music, and school». A.Fulin is a famous French teacher, researcher, and one of the representatives of experimental music pedagogics of awakening. She considers the search of a child’s individual uniqueness, the development of creative instinct and the ability to understand and to evaluate the sound environment from the point of view of its nonfunctional context to be the main goals of music education.
