Samuil Feinberg, Alexander Cherepnin and Alexander Mosolov: from the history of Russian instrumental concerto
The object of the article is Russian instrumental concerto of the second and the third decades of the XX century. The author examines the stages of the genre formation. He considers S. Feinberg, A. Cherepnin, and A. Mosolov’s works in details. He traces the lines of genre development namely romantic pattern based on Russian tradition, concerto featuring individual performing style, avant-garde and national-oriental concerto by the example of their compositions.
