The first musical education in Russia

The article is devoted to studying professional musical education in Russia and to its features in the period of its formation which is considered for the first time in its interrelations with the general cultural tendencies in Russia of the end at the XVIII century. The author reveals peculiarities of the development of Russian musical education of this period and characterizes its tendencies.
