Russian Chamber and Vocal Performing Art of the XIXth Century: the Gender Dimension

The article represents short digression to gender history of Russian chamber and vocal performing art of the XIXth century. By means of gender approach the main stages of realization of the most important social and musical reforms in Russia of that time, become the beginning of the process of formation and development of female vocal and drama performing art are revealed. The creative activity of outstanding women – performers of that time, characterized in the form of short biographic sketches is served as confirmation of this gender phenomenon. The author signs that Russian chamber and vocal performance of the XIXth century represents one of the social-historical and cultural phenomena caused by a gender factor.
