Professors A. Zdanovich and L. Khinchin: my teachers and their methodical directions

This essay is devoted to the pedagogical heritage by A. Zdanovich and L. Khinchin, the founders of solo singing and concert-chamber singing classes in the RSMPI – Rostov State Conservatoire. The author describes the methodical directions of outstanding pedagogues in the field of singer’s breathing, sound attack, diction, intonation, interactions between artistic and technical aspects of teaching. Special attention is paid to the psychological atmosphere which creates in the process of studies and contributes to their highest productivity.
