The author of the essay covers most important stages of biography of native musicologist – researcher and pedagogue. Priority directions of scholar-methodic and organization activities by N. Tiftikidi – creator of Music theory and composition Department of Rostov Musical-Pedagogical Institute – are characterized. N. Tiftikidi’s personal соntribution to musical enlightenment and popularization of New-Greece musical culture is marked.
