Historical aspect of the development and features of the professional accompanist’s skill
The article examines the specifics of accompanist’s activities. The latter is assigned an important role in the performing interpretation: he/she has a mission to brisk up the creative imagination of the soloist, display initiative in the process of joint image creation, aspire to the adequate language perusal of musical composition to be executed. The author elucidates the origin of the concept of accompaniment and its peculiarities in different ages, characterizes creative work in the art of accompaniment from a position of interpreter’s plan formation and its realization. The author’s opinion of a difference between the concert accompanist and the tutor one is proposed.
