Musical identity of Moslem Tatars in context of the cultural heritage of the Krasnoyarsk territory
This article examines the musical traditions of the Moslim Tatars of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in a historical context (from the Yenisei province to the Krasnoyarsk Territory). The musical identity of the Tatar people is formed on the basis of spiritual and moral guidelines coming from the dogmas of the Moslim religion and folklore in general. Religious self-identification actually sometimes had a deeper meaning and significance than ethnicity. Islam was not only a spiritual belief system, but also a central element of the organization of the lifestyle, education, upbringing, culture and social relations of Moslim society for many centuries. Religious rituals, holidays, prayers, fasts and other aspects of Islam contributed to the holistic development of the individual and helped to maintain inner spiritual peace, and during the Soviet period they were banned. The interpretation of the musical series of the Moslim tradition and the peculiarities of Tatar folklore are important not only from a research point of view, but also for the preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Archival materials (normative and legal documents) from the State Archive of the Krasnoyarsk Territory are of particular value in the study for the first time presented to research circulation.
