Research activities of V. Demina are connected with various areas: medieval studies, music pedagogy, historical and theoretical musicology. V. Demina is an author of more than 40 academic and methodical publications devoted to the history of Russian music, musical source criticism and textology, jazz and popular music education in Russia, including monograph ‘Singing Canon of Victorious Celebrations: “Service of Thanksgiving” ’.
V. Demina is an organizer of research and project activities in the Students’ Scholarly and Art Society at the Rachmaninov Rostov State Conservatory, editor of academic articles of young musicologists. Member of the Organizing Committee of the contemporary music festival, devoted to the 80th anniversary of the Rostov branch of Russian Composer’s Union, coordinator of the conference “Problems of contemporary composer’s art”.
