Since 2007 S. Hvatova is an organiser of annual international conferences "The issues of teaching music performance`', 13 issues of conference proceedings have been published; since 2009 - "Musical chronicle of Russian regions", 12 issues of conference proceedings have been published.

Since 2016 S.Hvatova has been organising an international academic conference "Worship practices and cult arts in the modern world". 1 and 2 were supported by RSCI in September 18-22, 2016 (project № 16-04-14040), September 26-30, 2017 (project № 17-04-14069/17-ОГОН) as well as by RFBR in September 17-21, 2018 (project № 18-012-20058/18), November 11-13, 2020. S. Hvatove has created a team of academic research associates that united researchers from twenty countries and more than twenty Russian regions.

S. Hvatova is an author of more than 250 academic and methodological publications, 48 in foreign journals, more than 40 in articles published in peer-reviewed journals, including articles in the journals recommended by All-Russian Attestation Commission and indexed in SCOPUS, 4 monographs.
