In memory of V. Guziy (1928–2014)

In the memoir essay the many-side image of prominent native musician – pedagogue, organizer of music education, inquisitive researcher – is reconstructed. The approach by V. Guziy to the formation of pedagogical staff of modern musical high school, organization of educational process, acquisition of library funds is characterized. Special attention is paid to long-term work of V. Guziy at Rostov-on-Don, his personal contribution to making and dynamic development of Musical-Pedagogical Institute (now Rostov Rachmaninov Conservatoire).
