Irina P. Dabayeva is the author of over 100 publications (including 2 monographs) on the theory, history and aesthetics of Russian church singing culture, vocal music, theory of harmony, musical management.
Activities
Irina P. Dabayeva is Head of the Chair of Music Theory and Composition at Rachmaninov Rostov State Conservatoire. As an academic supervisor she has prepared 6 PhDs.
Irina P. Dabayeva is the initiator and organizer of a number of scientific and creative projects of regional and Federal level, including 11 national and international academic conferences in Rostov-on-Don and Sochi. She is the chief editor of 10 collections of scientific papers. Since 2000 she has been the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Festival of Children's and Youth Choral Art "The Singers of the Third Millennium". Also she is the author of the scientific and creative project "Revival of the Tradition of Spiritual Concerts in Russia" which received a grant from the Orthodox Initiative Fund in 2015.
